Full Disclosure, this is not Kristy’s writing (Blogging?). But it is Kristy’s Birthday, her 30th Birthday to be precise. Kristy and I have now been together for 10 years (8 &1/2 of those are married years). And December 7th, a day which will live in infamy thanks to an attack on Pearl Harbor, was given a bit of a respite on December 7th 1982 with the birth of Kristy Lea Price. Kristy is a wonderful Blogger, Mother, Wife, and friend to those who know her. And to those who don’t know her, their loss is our gain.
Kristy, it has been a truly blessed 10 years together and today on your 30th birthday I wanted to say, Happy Birthday. I look forward to spending the next 30 + birthdays with you.
Love,
Derek

OH MY WORD, HOW SWEET IS THIS?!
ReplyDeletehappy birthday kristy! (i'd do a million exclamation points here so that there would be no doubt that i'm excited for you, but seeing as how your blog is not only entertaining but also educational, i have learned from you that this is not proper decorum. so one point it is. although he does look so sad and lonely there by himself, and unconvincingly excited. so i have decided i will throw caution to the wind, and exclamation points to the crislers...)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRISTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (they look a little like upside down birthday candles, so i put exactly thirty, so that the abundance of points would be justifiable and a little funnier than they are annoying.)
(end of very long, very parenthetical comment.)
I will allow the thirty exclamation points, if only because I had never before realized that they really do look like upside-down candles. (I have never claimed to be particularly observant.)
DeleteAnd thank you!
Well, happy, happy birthday to you, Kristy! I hope you have a wonderful day and that something hilarious happens to you that you can tell us about tomorrow. ;)
ReplyDeletePS Love Paige's 30 exclamation points above--funny.
I'm not really sure anything really funny happened, other than the hilarious book I found at the bookstore but didn't end up buying, because I'm cheap- I'm having trouble remembering the title, but it was something like "Dancing With Jesus," and I almost died laughing.
Deletehappy birthday Kristy!
ReplyDeletepaige already gave you 30 upside candles.
what do you want from me?
half-eaten-barf-in-a-pan-with-a-spoon?

I didn't think the photo looked that bad! And why would barf be half-eaten? Why would it be eaten at all?
DeleteThanks for the birthday wishes!

DeleteHappy birthday! And what a sweet husband you have!

DeleteWell done, little brother. Well done.
ReplyDeleteDitto. Minus the little brother part.
DeleteThere I was, all set to write my cancer post, when... "Wait. I didn't write a post called 'Birthday Girl,' did I? I mean, I know have a poor memory, but this is a little extreme!"
ReplyDeleteI don't know what to say, other than Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to my dear husband Derek.
P.S. It feels really weird to leave a comment on my own blog.
You always told me it was our blog ;)
DeleteI know *I* have. Still wishing I could edit comments. Someday, Blogger, right?
DeleteHappy birthday Kristy! I won't do 30 !!!!!!!!!!! Cuz that would really annoy you :)
